En vacances en Saône-et-Loire, nous voulions profiter du patrimoine bâti local. Mais avouons-le : il n’est pas toujours évident de rendre « sexy » une visite de château auprès de jeunes enfants !
Lors de nos recherches, nous avons découvert le label Aventures Mômes qui recense divers sites proposant des visites adaptées aux enfants dans le département de Saône-et-Loire. En parcourant la liste des établissements labellisés, nous avons programmé la visite du château de Sully.
Le château de Sully en Bourgogne
Situé à côté d’Autun, il s’agit du plus grand château renaissance de la région Bourgogne. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons compris pourquoi Sully est considéré comme l’un des 100 plus beaux châteaux de France.
Cette impressionnante forteresse d’origine médiévale, entourée de douves, sa majestueuse façade classique et terrasse sur l’eau nous ont instantanément séduit.
Dans ce beau château de famille est né le célèbre Maréchal de Mac Mahon, 1er Duc de Magenta, unique président de la République Française originaire de Bourgogne. Aujourd’hui habité par ses descendants, la Duchesse de Magenta et ses enfants, Sully respire l’histoire de France mêlée à la joie de vivre.
Visite-spectacle et animations pour enfants
L’équipe a trouvé une belle piste pour intéresser les bambins à la découverte du lieu et du patrimoine : des animations et visites-spectacles thématiques. Sur les conseils des offices de tourisme du territoire, nous avons opté pour la visite-spectacle Sully des pirates.
Après notre pique-nique, un premier pirate nous conduit en boitillant jusqu’à l’entrée du château. Les grandes portes s’ouvrent et dévoilent une magnifique cour intérieure, très bel exemple de la renaissance française que Bussy Rabutin décrivait comme « la plus belle du royaume ».
Pendant 1h30, une grande aventure attend petits et grands encadrée par notre capitaine que nous écoutons tous attentivement :

Nous sommes son nouvel équipage et déambulons de pièce en pièce pour chercher le trésor caché dans le château… avant de profiter d’un goûter ensemble dans le parc du château.

Après ou avant avoir découvert ce sublime château familial, prolongez votre visite en parcourant le reste du domaine. Le parc créé au 17ème siècle, revu aux 18 et 19ème a été repensé par l’architecte paysagiste Achille Duchêne au 20ème siècle. Ce parc romantique comporte des orangers centenaires en caisse, un jardin potager en permaculture et divers éléments tels qu’un vivier, un miroir d’eau, une glacière, un lavoir polonais et un pigeonnier et une chapelle du 12ème siècle.
